In-Store Training

Objective

Client had come up with the concept of gift cards for digital entertainment and wanted a partner who could quickly tie-up with key retail chains and train their promoters and cahiers on the selling process and card activation process respectively. These sessions were to be conducted just few days before the actual launch to keep the knowledge fresh in the minds of the sales staff. The key elements to be covered during the training were:

  • Product benefits and features
  • Card activation process
  • The do's and don'ts
  • Objection handling tips
  • Refund and cancellation management

 Approach

The key activities in project execution were as follows:

  • Client used to share date, city & timing of trainings 5 to 7 days in advance
  • Channelplay arranged trainers for the specified locations and completed their TTT
  • The trainers delivered the session using aids like PowerPoint presentation and role plays
  • After completion of every training, session report was shared with the client along with participant feedback

Outcome

The project was a success and the key highlights were as follows:

  • All the key retail outlets were covered within agreed timeframe ensuring seller readiness at the time of launch
  • The comprehensive training and role plays ensured that every participant was aware of the sales process including gift card activation and refund process
