Channelplay's price check audits fuel Yokohama's success

“You can’t just upload the role on a site for freelancers and hope to get viable candidates,” she says. “This is curation [of profiles] and not mass recruitment!”

🛞 dealers are smart, you know. If you simply walk into their shop without a 🚗, they know you’re about to waste their time.

Can’t agree more! ’Mystery shoppers with cars’ was a real prob. But Sikha and team figured it out.

Figured out, uh-huh! But how?

You can’t just upload the role on a site for freelancers and hope to get viable candidates. This is curation of profiles. Not mass recruitment!

Right. Who’s the client here?

Yokohama. Inconsistent pricing by the dealers, you know! Selling tyres below Yokohama Recommended Price, selling competitors’ products—all was happening 😓 We conducted Price Check Audits.

Okay, fair enough. But what did we actually capture through these mystery audits?

Well, a lot of valuable info. Dealer’s brand recommendation, product knowledge, price variance, and competitors’ product prices.

That's impressive. Did this actually lead to any tangible outcomes for Yokohama?

Absolutely! They incentivized the dealers who complied with YRP, took measures against those who didn't. This motivated the dealers to improve. We saw a 28% ⬆️ in dealers recommending Yokohama as the preferred brand, and a shift in YRP variance from above -10% to 0 to -5%. And of course, we identified training needs for dealers and their staff.

Okay, you've convinced me. Again. This sounds like a really effective solution for the client's challenge of inconsistent pricing.👍🏼
