Influencer Loyalty Programs for Plumbers, Electricians, Painters & Mechanics

A plumber or an electrician picks your brand on the job and buys it at a dealer's counter, so your sales data never shows who chose it. Channelplay builds influencer loyalty programs for that gap: members scan your product's QR code when they use or install it, and the dealer they buy from can approve who earns.

Influencer Loyalty Programs: What We Manage

This is not social media influencer marketing. It is a loyalty program for the trade professionals who decide which brand goes into a job: plumbers, electricians, painters, mechanics, contractors and architects. They rarely buy from you, so the program has to reach them where they work and where they buy.

If you want to reward the dealers themselves, see our dealer and distributor loyalty programs; if the audience is your own field sales team, see our sales team loyalty program services; if your goal is repeat purchase with end customers, see our consumer loyalty program services.

Joining the program

Members sign up in the app, or an existing member or your sales team nominates them. KYC details such as PAN, Aadhaar and bank or UPI are collected in the app, at sign-up or later, as you choose.

Scan to earn

A QR code is printed on each product before dispatch. The member scans it in the app when he uses or installs the product. Each code works once, and you set the points for each product.

Approvals and checks

You choose who approves each new member before he earns: the dealer he buys from, your sales team or a back-office check. Every scan is checked before its points are credited.

Rewards

Members redeem points as a UPI or bank transfer, a voucher or a gift. Tiers such as Silver, Gold and Platinum are there if your scheme needs them.

Alerts on WhatsApp, SMS and the app

Scheme news and reminders reach members on WhatsApp, by SMS and in the app, with banners for schemes that run only in their region.

Activity reports

See scans per member, which products get scanned, the points paid out, and who is active and who has stopped.

The Channelplay Way

Influencer loyalty programs fail when all you build is software. A plumber doesn't open an app because a brand built one, so we run the platform and the people around it.

Why the dealer is part of an influencer program

The dealer already knows which tradesmen buy from him, so he's the right person to approve each new member before that member earns a point. Each program sets whether he stops there or goes on to confirm each claim. He can also earn in his own scheme in the same 1Channel app, which lets a paints brand reward its painters and the dealers who serve them in one program.

Why Brands Choose Channelplay for Influencer Loyalty Programs

Each trade decides a different part of the job, so we build each program around how that trade buys and uses your product.

Plumbers

Pipes, fittings, pumps and sanitaryware. The plumber often picks the brand for the job, then scans the code when he installs it.

Electricians

Wires, switches, lighting and electrical accessories, where the electrician decides which brand goes into the house.

Painters and contractors

Paints, waterproofing and coatings. The homeowner often buys whichever brand the painter or contractor names.

Mechanics

Lubricants and spare parts. In the workshop, it’s the mechanic who decides whose oil and parts go into the vehicle.

How we got Crompton's plumbers onto the app

Crompton's loyalty program for plumbers and retailers runs on the Crompton Saathi app. Our field marketing team took it to the plumbers.

What our field team did for Crompton

  • Ran plumber meets: Chai Pe Charcha and Saathi meets.
  • Got plumbers onto the Crompton Saathi app and scanning Crompton products.

FAQs About Influencer Loyalty Programs

These are the questions brands usually ask when evaluating a program for plumbers, electricians, painters, mechanics and other trade influencers.

What is an influencer loyalty program?

It’s a rewards program for plumbers, electricians, painters, mechanics and other trade professionals who decide which brand goes into the job. They earn points each time they use the brand’s products and redeem them for UPI transfers, vouchers or gifts.

How is an influencer loyalty program different from a dealer loyalty program?

A dealer buys from you, so a dealer loyalty program can reward what your invoices show. A plumber or a painter usually buys from the dealer, so your records never show his choice. An influencer program needs its own proof: the scan of the code on the product he uses.

Can painters and dealers be in the same program?

Yes. Both use the same 1Channel app: the painter earns on what he uses, and the dealer earns in his own scheme.

How do you get plumbers and painters to join?

Some sign up in the app on their own. The rest come through people they already deal with: an existing member or your sales team nominates them, or our field team meets them in person, as it did for Crompton’s plumbers.

Does a plumber need a smartphone to claim points?

No. The app is only one way in. Members can also claim points and redeem rewards through our call centre, through their field rep, by email to the helpdesk or on WhatsApp.

Let’s Connect

Plumbers, electricians, painters and contractors decide your brand before the counter ever bills it, yet reaching them, enrolling them and validating what they claim is slow, manual work. Channelplay can be your sounding board on the right proof model for your category, and also the partner that runs the app, the rewards and the field activation.
