Dealer & Distributor Loyalty Programs Your Trade Keeps Using

Channelplay runs dealer and distributor loyalty programs for manufacturers in India. You set the scheme. We enrol your dealers, distributors and retailers, check every claim before points go out, pay rewards by UPI or voucher, and answer partners in their own language. It all runs on our 1Channel platform or on your own app.

Dealer & Distributor Loyalty Programs: What We Manage

Buying a loyalty app is the easy part. The hard part starts after launch: claims waiting for approval, rewards arriving late, and dealers who stop opening the app. We're the loyalty program company that takes on that daily work.

If your immediate audience is the brand's own field force, see our sales team loyalty program services; if it is end consumers, see our consumer loyalty program services. And if you first need to identify, register, and activate new merchants or partners, see our merchant and partner onboarding services.

Enrolment and KYC

Partners join with an OTP on their phone. Your sales team can nominate them, or your partner list is uploaded from Excel. PAN and Aadhaar are checked as part of KYC, and members are grouped by region, tier and partner type.

Claim checks

Points come only from proof: your DMS or ERP data, QR codes that only one person can scan, or uploaded invoices.

Rewards and payouts

Partners redeem points for UPI transfers, e-vouchers or physical gifts. Tax on rewards is deducted automatically at payout.

Scheme messages

Scheme news goes out on WhatsApp, SMS and app notifications, with banners set by region so each market sees its own scheme.

Scheme design

We help you set the slabs, tiers, growth targets and range-selling goals that tie rewards to secondary sales.

Activity reports

See who is active, who has gone quiet and who never started, next to enrolments, claims and redemptions, so you know which partners need a call.

The Channelplay Way

Dealer & distributor loyalty programs fail when the stack is only software. So we run the platform and the people around it.

Who runs the program after launch?

We do, with your team in the loop. Your sales team nominates new partners and gives the final approval on uploaded invoices. Our helpdesk answers partners in regional languages and calls the ones who go quiet. Its standing team covers 10 languages, and we add more quickly when a program needs them. Everything in between, from KYC to the last voucher, is ours.

Define the buyer brief before selecting a program partner

A dealer distributor loyalty program should be procured as an operating model, with explicit business, data, validation, reward, and governance decisions rather than as an app or catalog alone.

Business behaviour and baseline

State the commercial behaviour the program must change, the current participation or sales baseline, the eligible products and territories, and the measures that will decide whether the program should scale.

Audience hierarchy and master data

Define distributor, dealer, stockist, sub-dealer, or retailer roles; their hierarchy; enrollment and KYC rules; territory ownership; and who maintains member and outlet records.

Earning evidence and validation

Document the accepted evidence source, earning slabs, caps, exclusions, approval steps, exception handling, fraud controls, and reconciliation route before rewards are released.

Rewards, operations, and governance

Agree the reward and communication model, member support, liability and expiry rules, operating owners, reporting cadence, KPIs, optimization decisions, and end-of-contract data export.

Use the dealer program design guide, distributor program design guide, and secondary-sales incentive guide to turn these decisions into an evaluation brief.

Why Brands Choose Channelplay for Dealer & Distributor Loyalty Programs

We fit best where your dealers and distributors decide what gets stocked and sold.

Dealer programs

Best when dealer recommendation, assortment, display, local market influence, or counter push affects product movement.

Distributor programs

Useful when you need stronger order consistency, range selling, outlet expansion, market activation, or better secondary-sales visibility.

Multi-layer channel networks

Suitable for brands managing distributors, dealers, stockists, sub-dealers, retailers, or reseller layers in one connected loyalty stack.

Tech-enabled execution

When partners need an app for points and rewards, and every point needs proof behind it.

Which dealer and retailer programs do we run?

Two examples: TECNO's retailers on our 1Channel platform, and Bosch's sub-dealers on Bosch's own app.

Dealer and distributor partners discussing products and channel decisions

TECNO: retailers on 1Channel

  • TECNO manages data for 3,780 retailers on 1Channel's loyalty software.
  • Retailers check points and redeem rewards in the app instead of asking sales reps.
  • A helpdesk of 50+ agents who speak regional languages handles retailer queries and watches for anyone whose activity drops.
  • When a slow email provider held up e-vouchers, our team still sent all 3,061 before the Saturday deadline.

Bosch: sub-dealers on Bosch's own app

  • Our field team brought new and inactive sub-dealers onto Bosch's loyalty app and encouraged them to scan tools.
  • We also ran their incentive distribution and loyalty management.
  • Over 1,000 sub-dealers onboarded, and 20% year-on-year growth in the sub-dealer network.

FAQs About Dealer & Distributor Loyalty Programs

These are the questions brands usually ask when evaluating a program for dealer networks, distributors, stockists, and other channel-partner layers.

What are dealer and distributor loyalty programs?

They are rewards programs that manufacturers run for the businesses that stock and sell their products: distributors, dealers, sub-dealers and retailers. Partners earn points for verified purchases or sales and redeem them for UPI transfers, vouchers or gifts. A working program also covers enrolment, claim checks, scheme messages and reporting.

Why should dealer and distributor loyalty programs be designed differently?

Dealers and distributors influence business in different ways. Dealers often shape recommendation and sell-out behavior closer to the retail counter, while distributors influence range, stock flow, and market reach. The same program mechanics rarely motivate both audiences equally well.

Which companies run dealer and distributor loyalty programs in India?

There are two kinds. Software companies sell a loyalty platform that your own team runs. Service companies also do the daily work: approving claims, paying rewards and answering partners. To tell them apart, ask who picks up when a dealer calls about a missing payout. Channelplay is the second kind, and runs programs on its own platform, 1Channel.

How are claims checked before rewards go out?

Each source has its own check. DMS or ERP data comes straight from your own records. A QR code can be scanned by only one person, so the same code can't earn twice. An uploaded invoice needs two approvals, the second from your sales team, before any points are released.

Do dealers have to use an app?

No. Partners can check and redeem points in the app, on Android and iOS. They can also claim points and redeem rewards on WhatsApp, through our call centre, by emailing our helpdesk or through a field rep. Scheme news goes out on WhatsApp and SMS too, so a dealer who rarely opens the app still hears about the scheme.

Can you run the program on our own loyalty app?

Yes. Bosch's sub-dealer program ran on Bosch's own app, and our field team got the sub-dealers onto it. If you don't have a platform, we run the program on 1Channel.

What should brands measure in a dealer loyalty or distributor loyalty program?

Track enrollment, active-member rate, sales-linked activity, claim approval rates, redemption behavior, tier progression, geography performance, product mix contribution, and fraud exceptions. The right KPI mix depends on the channel objective behind the program.

Do these programs work only for FMCG brands?

No. They are relevant for any category with a structured channel network, including FMCG, electrical, building materials, consumer durables, agri-inputs, auto aftermarket, telecom, and healthcare-linked distribution models.

Dealer and distributor schemes usually stall on proof: verifying secondary sales, settling claims and keeping partners active takes more attention than a brand team can spare.
