Lalamove is a truck aggregator started in 2013 and operates in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam with operations in 180+ cities.It ventured into the Indian Market in late 2018 with focus in B2C and B2B segments.


Lalamove is disrupting the logistics industry by connecting customers and drivers through its App which uses Google Maps API for navigation. Technology brings in efficiency for last-mile delivery and reduces waste of time and resources. Lalamove offers a lightning fast and convenient way to book delivery and moving services be at home, work or on the go. Currently its operating in Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad.  Lalamove, enables both SMEs and individual users to push their goods across with single and multiple drop-offs, so that users can avoid making multiple bookings per delivery.

How It Works

User needs to download the App from the Play store and register. Post registration, the user needs to specify the type of delivery vehicle and mark the pickup and drop locations. A driver is then assigned by the platform to do the job. Nearby drivers receive a list of requests on the driver app and can then deliver according to their convenience.

Problem Statement

Lalamove had a requirement of hiring street-smart sales executives who are aware of the market and geography. Their primary motive was to increase their penetration in the Southern Market in a quick span of time.

Channelplay Solution

Channelplay Responsibility: Screening, Recruitment, On-boarding, HR, Admin & Finance Management and Exit Management.

Channelplay helps to deploy executives in two type of teams: User team and Driver team.

Channelplay has assigned a dedicated Program Manager who coordinates with various  for the coordination and ensuring the delivery is within the stipulated time.

User Team: User Team executives are responsible for onboarding the users who will be using the vehicles regularly. The shop in which vehicle is needed for the transportation of its goods in different parts of the cities. 

Driver Team: Driver team executives are responsible for onboarding drivers in a prescribed area so that the customers can get the vehicles quickly once they post the job.

Outcome

Channelplay has successfully on-boarded and deployed resources in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai for the Driver and User team roles to increase penetration for  Lalamove.
